Q inverse (Q-1 ) :
The reciprocal of the Q value is the fractional loss (attenuation) of wave energy per cycle divided by 2?. It is called spatial Q-1 if measured from the amplitude attenuation with distance and temporal Q-1 attenuation if measured from that with time. They can be different for dispersive waves.
