Essential physical constraints are included. Type A specifications state the technical and mission requirements of the system as an entity. Type B - Development Specification States all necessary requirements in terms of performance. Essential physical constraints are included. Type B specifications state requirements for the development of items other than systems. The y specify all of the required item functional characteristics and the tests required to demonstrate achievement of those characteristics. Type C - Product Specification Product specifications are applicable to any item below the system level, and may be oriented toward procurement of a product through specification of primarily function (performance) requirements or fabrication (detailed design) requirements. Type C specifications are intended to be used for the procurement of items including computer programs
