UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights :

A declaration which was adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on the 10 December 1948. This declaration speaks eloquently to the need for individual rights and freedoms, including the right to a decent standard of living, access to healthcare, housing, education and a social safety net. It also opposes slavery, torture, and racial, gender, religious and other forms of discrimination. With a view to ensuring that the world's citizens are aware of this declaration, the General Assembly has called upon all member countries to publicize the text of the Declaration and "to cause it to be disseminated, displayed, read and expounded principally in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction based on the political status of countries or territories
