VMAT 2
VMAT 2 : Veterinary Medical Assistance Team. A highly trained team consisting of Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and other support staff. These teams function as part of the National Disaster Medical System of the United States Public Health Service. VMAT teams can be called upon to provide support to communities in the event of a Federally declared disaster, emergency, or foriegn animal disease outbreak. VMAT teams fall under the National Disaster Medical System
