Vulnerability 020

Vulnerability 020 :

Definition: weakness, condition or quality of being open to exploitation, or exposed to natural or man-made threats, harm or attack. Extended definition: considered weaknesses of design, location, security posture, operation, or any combination thereof, that render an asset susceptible to disruption, destruction, or exploitation. Annotation: Vulnerability can occur in building characteristics, equipment properties, personnel behavior, locations of people/equipment/buildings, and/or operational and personnel practices. Example: Protecting America's critical infrastructure and key resources will not only make the United States more secure from terrorist attack, it will also reduce its vulnerability to natural disasters, organized crime, and computer hackers.
