Wide-Angle Seismic Method

Wide-Angle Seismic Method :

A term used for seismic experiments in which the source and receiver are widely separated compared to the target depth. This term is preferred over the traditional seismic refraction method because of the recognition that much of the information on crustal structure in modern experiments comes from reflected phases. See Minshull (2002)
