2020 Regional Transportation Plan (2020 RTP) : The regional transportation plan targeting the year 2020 for the six county northeastern Illinois area prepared by the Chicago Area Transportation Study as the region's Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission. The plan outlines the major regional highway and transit plans. The 2020 RTP is closely tied to the annual elements and multi year programs of the implementing agencies.
