Bias 10 : Bias is a distortion of the true picture. There are different types of bias such as: Selection bias: Selection bias is where results of an intervention or an evaluation may be distorted due to the way in which participants were recruited. Researcher bias: Researcher bias is where results of an evaluation may be distorted due to the evaluator having a vested interest in the results, or simply an expectation about what the results will be. Social Response bias: Social response bias is where the results of an evaluation may be distorted due to the respondents wanting to give what they consider to be socially desirable responses, or the responses that they feel the researcher wants to hear
