E-Learning 3

E-Learning 3 :

e-learning is the delivery of learning and training through electronic means. Although e-learning can be delivered in a number of different formats (CD-ROM, mobile phones, PDAs etc) the most common delivery mechnaism is via the internet or intranet browser. Terms such as "blended learning" in conjunction with e-learning emphasise that an online solution is often complemented by off-line learning. e-Office Safety utilises e-learning to impart ergonomics information in order to carry out workstation assessments. The e-learning content can also be blended with traditional assessment techniques. e-learning has adopted two standards AICC and SCORM. These standards allow any e-learning content which follows the standard to talk to a ny similarly configured Learning Management System. The common use of such e-learningstandards is a feature of modern e-learning. Further information regarding e-learning development can be found at e-learning wmb's site. e-learning is bult to the SCORM v1.2 standard - any true e-learning solution must be SCORM compliant
