Dynamic Range 3

Dynamic Range 3 : The squared amplitude ratio between the amplitudes of the output and input signal, e.g., of an amplifier, or between the largest and the smallest signal that can be faithfully recorded by a sensor-recording system such as a seismograph or of the range of amplitude variations with respect to a reference amplitude; usually expressed in decibel (see Chapters 4 to 6)
