Ergonomic Controls :

encompass ergonomic solutions. Essentially, three types of ergonomic controls exist: Engineering Controls: are comprised of alterations of the physical items in the workplace, including modification of the workstation, adapting existing tools/equipment, replacing existing equipment, or offering new equipment to accommodate the worker. The goal of this control is to identify the cause of the risk and eliminate the risk through changing the environment. Administrative Controls: are procedures that significantly limit daily exposure by controlling or manipulating the work schedule or the manner in which work is performed. Work Practice Controls include the appropriate training and education for the employee regarding how to perform the job tasks more safely and efficiently. Numerous programs exist for worker education covering safety and efficiency-such as lifting mechanics, managing power tools, and posture and performance for wellbeing at the office workstation
