Fracture Zone 2
Fracture Zone 2 : Natural Disaster. An elongated zone of unusually irregular topography that separate region of different water depths in the ocean floor. It is commonly found to displace the magnetic lineation and the axis of the mid-ocean ridge, and it is interpreted as a transform fault. See Wilson (1965), and Uyeda (1978)
