Grade Equivalent
Grade Equivalent : (Educ) A level of performance equal to that of a given primary or secondary school grade, determined from the results of one or more tests. Note: As an example, an individual may be shown by test to be capable of performing eighth-grade-level work, even though he may not have completed the seventh grade. In some school districts equivalency certificates are awarded to school dropouts who successfully complete a battery of tests
