ALARA, ALARP 02 : In the ALARP-region (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) or ALARA-region (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) it is demanded that the risk that is inherent in a system is kept to a level which is reasonably achievable. In the region methods of decision analysis (e.g. cost-benefit-analysis) are applied and safety measures are taken after an assessment of losses and benefits.
