Identified Wildlife Management Strategy (IWMS) : An initiative of the Ministry of Environment in partnership with the Ministry of Forests and Range that provides direction, policy, procedures, and guidelines for managing identified wildlife-species at risk and regionally important wildlife-on Crown forest and range land or private land that is subject to a tree farm or woodlot licence. The strategy aims to minimize the effects of forest and range practices on these species by maintaining critical habitats throughout their current ranges and, where appropriate, their historic ranges
