K 09 : Seismic phase symbol that stands for the P waves lag of seismic waves that traveled through the outer core (with K for the German word for core = Kern). For this and other such symbols used in seismic phase names see IS 2.1 in this Manual and Storchak et al. (2003 and 2011)
