Mobile Registration Intake Centers (MRICs) Pilot :
Recognizing many disaster victims may be stranded or located in congregate shelters without communications, and unable to register for assistance, FEMA has established a new registration pilot program that pushes registration capabilities directly into the field. For the 2007 hurricane season, FEMA will have the ability to deploy Mobile Registrations Intake Centers immediately to congregate shelters and provide an on-site capability to quickly register for FEMA assistance.
