MPEG or MPG :
(ICT) Motion Picture Expert Group. Pronounced "Empeg". A standard file format for storing movies in digital format and high-quality audio files in a variation known as MP3. Video files stored MPEG format can be recognised by the Extension .mpg or .mpeg. MP3 audio files can be recognised by the Extension .mp3. A newer file format is MP4.
