Persons not in the Labour Force
Persons not in the Labour Force : Persons in the adult population, who are neither employed nor unemployed. They do not have jobs nor are they looking for work. Such persons may be students, housewives, pensioners, or the disabled. Also included in this category are those persons who have no jobs and are unwilling to work. These are often referred to as the "voluntary idle". A sub- grouping of the voluntary idle would be the "discouraged workers", those not seeking work because they believe that they will find none
