Engineering subfields: Generally, Industrial Piping Engineering has three major subfields: (a) Piping Material; (b) Piping Design; (c) Stress Analysis. The product idea to production plant (setting up a new process plant). Before constructing any plant BASIC ENGINEERING activity has to done. Then the PROCESS ENGINEERING activity it includes FLOW SHEETS of process, EQUIPMENT LIST,P&ID and LAY OUT. After process engg the infomation comes to DETAIL ENGINEERING DEPT this Dept. further sub divided into field of experts like 1. EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING 2. PIPING ENGINEERING 3. INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING 4. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING and 5. CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING. Once detailed engg done then comes to PROCUREMENT/TECHNO-COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY has to be carried out like enquiry,bid evaluation,inspection,logistics etc. After procurement of materials FABRICATION of equipments like vessels,heat exchangers, distilation column carried out. Then SITE ENGINEERING activity (co-ordination of man,m/c,material) is to done to carry out civil,fabrication & erection work. Now the plant is ready for commissioning
