Polar Compound
Polar Compound : (Chem) An organic, nonionic material or liquid solvent having an electrically unbalanced molecular structure, a local separation of electric charge, that results in magnetic polar susceptibility. Note: Some polar compounds are capable of dispersing firefighting foams. Methyl ethyl ketone and other ketone solvents, aldehydes, and ethers are common organic polar solvents.
