Population at Risk 7 : The number of people who can develop the adverse health effect under study and who are potentially exposed to the risk factor of interest. For example, all people in a population who have not developed immunity to an infectious disease are at risk of developing the disease, if they are exposed. Similarly, people already having chronic disease are excluded from the population at risk in studies of the incidence of the disease
