Pressure, Static 2
Pressure, Static 2 : The normal force per unit area that would be exerted by a moving fluid on a small body immersed in it if the body were carried along with the fluid. Practically, it is the normal force per unit area at a small hole in a wall of the duct through which the fluid flows or on the surface of a stationary tube at a point where the disturbances, created by inserting the tube, cancel. The potential pressure exerted in all directions by a fluid at rest. It is the tendency to either burst or collapse the pipe, usually expressed in inches of water gauge (in. wg) when dealing with air
