Progressive Method 1
Progressive Method 1 : (For Serv) A fireline construction method in which crewmen work in single file, moving forward as the line is constructed. Also called: Bump Up; Functional Line Construction; Move Up; Step Up. Note: In one variation, crewmen begin work at about 5-yard intervals, and when one man overtakes another, he bypasses him, and all those ahead of him also move for-ward. In another variation, each man makes one or more strokes with his tool and then moves forward a specified distance
