Psychrometer 5

Psychrometer 5 : the general name for instruments designed for determining the water vapour content of the air. A psychrometer consists of dry- and wetbulb thermometers, which when properly ventilated indicate the dry- and wet-bulb temperatures used to determine the relative humidity and dew point of the atmosphere, generally with the aid of psychrometric tables or slide rule. A non-ventilated psychrometer relies on the natural movement of air for ventilation, whereas a ventilated psychrometer relies on artificially circulated air (e.g. sling psychrometer). Note: Hygrometer and Sling Psychrometer
