Public Authority
Public Authority : A Federal, State, city, county, town, township, Indian tribe, municipal or other local government or instrumentality with authority to finance, build, operate, or maintain toll or toll-free transportation facilities. Authorities usually have some type of enabling legislation and are usually authorized to fund projects through the sales of bonds with its dedicated revenue stream (tolls, taxes, etc) pledged to repayment of the bonds
