Radar 04 : A technique for detecting targets in the atmosphere or in space by transmitting radio waves (e.g., microwaves) and sensing the waves reflected by objects. The reflected waves (called "returns" or "echos") provide information on the distance to the target and the velocity of the target and may also provide information about the shape of the target. Originally an acronym for "Radio Detection and Ranging"
