Radioraphy
Radioraphy : (Med; Techn) The use of ionizing radiation to produce shadow images on a fluorescent screen or photographic emulsion. Some of the rays (gamma rays or x-rays) pass through the object, while others are partially or completely absorbed by the more opaque parts of the object and thus cast a shadow on a photographic film. Cf: Autoradiograph. Note: Used in nondestructive testing for internal examination of metal objects to detect inclusions, defects, differences in thickness, etc
