Risk Assessment Code (RAC)
Risk Assessment Code (RAC) : A code used to quantify risk to personnel operating or maintaining the system or conducting an operation. The RACs show the adverse health effect or possible loss of bodily systems described in categories of hazard severity and hazard probability. The RAC is assigned based on the failure to implement the recommendations for eliminating or minimizing the hazard. It is an expression of the risk associated with a hazard that combines the hazard severity and accident probability into a single Arabic numeral as described in Army Regulation 385-10
