Risk 006 :
(1) The expectation of loss from hazards and their impact. Risk is a function of probability (likelihood) of a hazard occurrence and the impact (consequences) of a hazard83 on the target of the risk assessment. It connotes a relationship between the hazard and the target's vulnerability to the hazard. Risk can be addressed by managing probability (through mitigation) and/or managing impact (through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery). (2) Potential for an unwanted outcome resulting from an incident, event, or occurrence, as determined by its likelihood and the associated consequences. (DHS Risk Lexicon 9/08)
مخاطرة (وجمعها مخاطرات) 6: (1) توقع الخسارة من المخاطر وتأثيرها. الخطر هو دالة احتمال (احتمال) حدوث خطر وأثر (عواقب) خطر 83 على الهدف من تقييم المخاطر. وهو يشير إلى وجود علاقة بين الخطر وضعف الهدف إزاء الخطر. ويمكن معالجة المخاطر عن طريق إدارة الاحتمال (من خلال التخفيف) و/أو إدارة الأثر (من خلال التخفيف والتأهب والاستجابة والإنعاش). (2) احتمال تحقيق نتيجة غير مرغوب فيها ناتجة عن حادث أو حدث أو حدث، على النحو الذي تحدده احتمالات وقوعه وما يرتبط به من عواقب. (وزارة الأمن الوطني خطر المعجم 9/08).
