Risk 050 :
Risk: the expected number of lives lost, persons injured, damage to property and disruption of economic activity due to a particular natural phenomenon, and consequently the product of specific risk and elements at risk. The capacity of a system, community or society to resist or to change in order that it may obtain an acceptable level in functioning and structure. This is determined by the degree to which the social system is capable of organising itself, and the ability to increase its capacity for learning and adaptation, including the capacity to recover from a disaster. مخاطرة (وجمعها مخاطرات) 50: الخطر: العدد المتوقع من الأرواح التي فقدت، والأشخاص المصابين، والأضرار التي لحقت بالممتلكات، وتعطل النشاط الاقتصادي بسبب ظاهرة طبيعية معينة، وبالتالي نتيجة مخاطر محددة وعناصر معرضة للخطر. قدرة النظام أو المجتمع أو المجتمع على المقاومة أو التغيير حتى يتمكن من الحصول على مستوى مقبول من حيث الأداء والهيكل. وهذا ما يحدده مدى قدرة النظام الاجتماعي على تنظيم نفسه، والقدرة على زيادة قدرته على التعلم والتكيف، بما في ذلك القدرة على التعافي من الكوارث.
