Risk Management 88 : The reduction of risk to an acceptable level. Risk management addresses three issues: (1) what steps should be taken to reduce risks to an acceptable level (mitigation); (2) the relative trade-offs among multiple opportunities (benefit/cost analyses, capital allocation); and (3) the impacts of current decisions on future opportunities
