SAR 16 : Specific absorption rate, measured in watts per kilogram (W/kg). This number expresses the rate at which radio-frequency energy is absorbed in the body. In the New Zealand exposure Standard, the maximum SAR level permitted over any 10 gm of body tissue is 2 W/kg, provided the average SAR over the whole body is less than 0.08 W/kg
