Sediment Yield 1 :

Sediment: Particulate organic and inorganic matter that accumulates in a loose, unconsolidated form on the bottom of natural waters. Discharge: Flow of surface water in a stream or canal or the outflow of groundwater from a flowing artesian well, ditch, or spring.
