Semitrailer : (Transp) A nonpowered vehicle having integral wheels at the rear only and designed to carry material, supplies, or equipment and to be towed by a self-propelled motor vehicle that also supports the front end by means of a fifth-wheel coupling assembly. Note: The front end can also be supported by a dolly that is provided with a fifth-wheel assembly for coupling to the semitrailer and a tongue and lunette for coupling to the prime mover
