Set-On Tee
Set-On Tee : A tee-piece which is formed by welding one pipe over a hole made in another. In this case the tee-piece is formed by the pipes themselves with the joining weld being at the junction of the tee-piece. This is distinct from a forged weld-reducing tee-piece where the junction is in the forged fitting and is at a distance from the welds between the fitting and the adjoining pipes.
