Signal Words 3 : Distinctive words on a MSDS which serves to alert the reader to the existence and relative degree of a hazard. Signal words are limited to: (1) Danger: Materials that are: highly toxic; corrosive to living tissue; extremely flammable; or are suspected human carcinogens. (2) Warning: Materials that are: moderately toxic; have severe skin irritation potential; cause allergic skin reactions; or are flammable. (3) Caution: Materials that: have a low order of toxicity; produce only slight to moderate skin irritation; or are combustible
