Signal-To-Noise Ratio 2

Signal-To-Noise Ratio 2 : The comparison between the amplitude of the seismic signal and the amplitude of the noise; abbreviated as SNR. Often quantified as the ratio of the power (variance) of the signal to that of the noise for a given frequency band and measured in decibels (dB). See Chapters 4 and 9 in this Manual, Webb (2002), and Suyehiro and Mochizuki (2002)
