Single Failure Point :
As defined in NHB 5300. 4(1D-2), "A single item of hardware, the failure of which would lead directly to loss of life, vehicle or mission. Where safety considerations dictate that abort be initiated when a redundant item fails, that element is also considered a single failure point"(NSTS 22254)
