Sky Condition
Sky Condition : (Meteor) The state of the sky expressed in tenths of cloud cover. Clear means less than 1/10 cloud cover; scattered clouds, 1/10 to 5/10; broken clouds, 5/10 to 9/10; overcast, >9/10. Ten sky conditions are defined and coded for synoptic charts: (0) no clouds, (1) <1/10, (2) 1/10, (3) 2/10 to 3/10, (4) 4/10 to 6/10, (5) 7/10 to 8/10, (6) 9/10, (7) >9/10 with openings, (8) 10/10 and (9) sky obscured by fog, dust, snow, etc
