Slope 01
Slope 01 : (1) (Soil Mech) The angle with the horizontal at which a particular earth material will stand indefinitely without movement. Syn: Angle of Repose; Angle of Slip. See: Grade. (2) (Civ Eng) A natural or artificial incline to the plane of the horizon, such as a hillside, terrace, or ramp. Note: usually expressed as a ratio of the vertical rise to the horizontal distance traveled, or if expressed as a percent, the percent slope or percent grade. A 1-foot rise in a distance of 5 feet is a 20% slope
