Smoke Damper 2 : A damper arranged to seal off airflow automatically through a part of an air duct system, to restrict the passage of smoke. A smoke damper also can be a standard louvered damper serving other control functions, provided the location lends itself to the dual purpose. A smoke damper is not required to meet all the design functions of a fire damper
