Australian standard 2 : A standard applicable to products, services and systems which sets out specifications and procedures designed to ensure safety, reliability and consistency. There is no legal obligation to comply with these standards (unless the Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs has declared a standard or parts of it to be a mandatory standard)
