Authoritative Topographic Cartographic Information System (ATKIS) : ATKIS, resolved by the Working Committee of the Surveying Authorities of the States of the Federal Republic of Germany (AdV) in autumn of 1989, is the base topographical information concerning the middle to small scale domain. ATKIS (http: //www.atkis.de) aims at providing the German-wide digital topographical data stock of objects and phenomena as well as of the relief of the earth's surface. ATKIS delivers following digital models: Digital Landscape Model (DLM); Digital Terrain Model (DTM); Digital Topographical Maps; Digital Ortho Photographics (DOP)
