Solid Waste 2 : (Env Prot) Useless, unwanted, or discarded material with insufficient liquid content to he free-flowing. Note: Among the more common wastes are Agricultural: resulting from the rearing and slaughtering of animals and the processing of animal products and orchard and field crops. Commercial: solid waste generated by stores, offices, and other activities that do not actually turn out a product. Industrial resulting from industrial processes and manufacturing. Institutional: originating from educational, health care, and research facilities. Municipal: normally, residential and commercial solid waste generated within a community. Pesticide: the residue resulting from the manufacturing, handling, or use of chemicals for killing plant and animal pests.
