Sooting Indicators

Sooting Indicators : Black carbon deposited on objects found in the path of a fire which is produced by incomplete combustion. Generally speaking, deposits of soot will be heavier on the side of an object which faces an oncoming fire. Soot can therefore be used to interpret the direction of fire spread
