South Carolina Wind and Hail Underwriting Association :
"The South Carolina General Assembly authorized the creation of the South Carolina Wind and Hail Underwriting Association (South Carolina Windpool) in 1971. All admitted property and casualty companies licensed by the South Carolina Department of Insurance are members of and are required to participate in the South Carolina Windpool.
