Spatial Resolution 2

Spatial Resolution 2 : Spatial resolution refers to the smallest identifiable area on an image as discrete independent unit. The resolution indicates the size of the smallest object of a digital data set that can be described. The resolution of a raster corresponds to the size of the cell in the real world. For example, the resolution of a satellite image can be 10 m, so each pixel represents 10 x 10 m of the real ground. In general the term is used in the context of raster data models and is expressed as size of the raster cell
