Special Flood Hazard Area SFHA 11 :
The area of land that has a one percent or greater chance of being flooded in any given year, better known as the 100-year flood. The SFHA is delineated on a Flood Hazard Boundary Map or a FIRM. The SFHA is mapped as a Zone A. In coastal situations, Zone V is also a part of the SFHA. The SFHA may or may not encompass all of a community's flood problems.
