Speech Recognition : (ICT) Speech recognition is referring to a computer application being able to respond to speech. For example a car entertainment system may respond to simple commands such as "Radio On", "Radio Off" because its computer programming includes speech recognition. Speech recognition is still very challenging as a computer finds it difficult to deal with different accents, speaking speeds and high background noise. But there are applications that are now about 95% accurate when using a microphone in a quiet room
